Read before you apply
Dear future AVCer,
Please note that completing this application will require time. The application has 6 steps; once you begin, you will not be able to save it for later.
We recommend you carefully review and prepare the required documents before you start:
– 300 to 800-word personal statement (and, if you plan to volunteer for more than 4 months, a 300 to 800-word cross-cultural experiences statement)
– Resume (upload .doc or .pdf. Uploaded file should not exceed 5MB)
– References. Download the reference form here. Send it to two appropriate individuals not related to you (work or volunteering supervisor, professor, colleague, AVC or Birthright Armenia alumni, etc.) and ask them to complete and email it directly to email@example.com with your name in the subject line.
IMPORTANT: (1) Do you need a visa to enter Armenia? Check your requirements here. If you need a letter of invitation in order to obtain a visa to Armenia, please note that AVC does not provide invitation letters.
(2) To be eligible for the Armenian Volunteer Corps you must be at least 21 years of age or turn 21 during your service term (NB: If you are age 21-32 and of Armenian Descent, you should contact Birthright Armenia directly as you may not be eligible for AVC); you must also be able to complete a minimum one month service term (two weeks in the case of Professional Corps service).
We are in the process of troubleshooting and improving our application form. If you notice a problem with your application or if you’re not sure if it went through, please email us: firstname.lastname@example.org.
With love, Սիրով
