Exciting news! As of September 12, 2020, Armenia’s air borders have reopened and now not only Armenia citizens but also foreigners can finally travel to Armenia after months of lockdown. This means that we are now starting to welcome new participants!
Here is a summary of the essential information that you need to have before arriving in Armenia:
From which countries can I travel to Armenia?
Armenia’s air borders are now open and many airlines that operated pre-lockdown
are starting to resume flights to Armenia. IMPORTANT: Only air borders are open;
you cannot enter Armenia via its land border.
Are there currently flights to Armenia?
Yes, flights from major international airports are currently operating. Please check with your travel agency or favorite website for more information.
Is there an obligatory quarantine or test upon my arrival to Armenia?
Anyone who has just entered Armenia can choose to either (a) quarantine for 14 days or (b) take a PCR test. If the PCR test result is negative, you will be free to end quarantine and go out and about. If you choose to do a PCR test, it is strongly advised and preferable that you have the test done at your place of isolation. Here’s a list of testing laboratories along with contact information.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Remember that once in Armenia, you must wear a mask in all public spaces, both indoors and outdoors. It is also mandatory for you to have your ID with you at all times. For more comprehensive information in English on all current regulations, please visit the page of the US embassy in Armenia.
