Love –and Volunteering– in the Time of Coronavirus

As social distancing has taken over, we decided to use Zoom to our advantage. We got to see almost all of our in-country participants and catch up!

We currently have 11 volunteers on the ground in Armenia. We quickly took aspects of the program online, but it is their creativity we’d like to highlight below.

Armenian Volunteer Corps participants Philo and Marie got creative with their free time! They created a board game based off of Monopoly and titled it “Armenopoly.” The game hones in on not only famous Armenian monuments and destinations but popular grocery stores, restaurants, and fun every day happenings in Yerevan. And yes, the banking is all conducted in AMD.

With all that is going on in the world, AVC participant Benjamin and his flat mates know the importance of taking deep breaths and focusing on the present moment. We urge everyone to take time to meditate. Sending love your way.
