YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY, CENTER FOR GENDER AND LEADERSHIP STUDIES
The main goal of the Center is to promote gender equality and leadership in the Armenian society. YSU Center for Gender and Leadership Studies provides comprehensive research, training, and outreach functions engaging Armenian higher education institutions, local NGOs and international agencies in training women for career promotion and professional leadership.
ARMATH ENGINEERING LABS
Armath Engineering Laboratories strive to play a big role in solving the problem of the need for a workforce that is skilled in science, technology, engineering, and math subjects by teaching children as young as age 10 how exciting and fun STEM can be. They aim to stimulate technological education in Armenia; improve the technical education base; guide the professional orientation of students towards innovation and STEM; prepare the professional workforce with technical education and encourage the expansion of the advanced technology sector; solve a wide range of social-economic issues linked to national security, economic development and education.
ALLIANCE FRANCAISE ARMENIA
Founded in 2003, Alliance Francaise Armenia strives to promote French language and culture through language trainings and various cultural events.
AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF ARMENIA OPEN EDUCATION
The American University of Armenia (AUA) is a private institution of higher learning, offering a global education in Armenia. Department of Open Education serves as University’s principal interface with the community. At AUA Open Education they plan, design, develop and deliver a number of quality courses to target certain sectors of government, academia, private organizations and individuals to help them fulfil professional and/or career goals through flexible and innovative adult and continuing education training programs. They offer comprehensive English Language Training, a multitude of Computer Literacy and Information Technology training and a number of Leadership, Business and Entrepreneurial courses. AUA Open Education’s mission is to foster individual, organizational, and community growth and transformation, through accessible, high-quality training programs.
TUMO CENTER FOR CREATIVE TECHNOLOGIES
TUMO is an innovative, open media studio. It is equipped with state-of-the-art digital technology; staffed by educators and media professionals. TUMO is a new kind of after-school learning environment where thousands of students aged 12-18 are in charge of their own learning. It’s hands-on, and it’s fun. Any motivated teenager can become a member. Members advance through levels of knowledge and skill. They produce creative content and media applications. There are four TUMO centers in Armenia — Yerevan, Dilijan, Gyumri, and Stepanakert — and two international centers in Beirut and Paris.
MASIS YOUTH CENTER (MASIS DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION)
Masis is a small town and urban municipal community in the Ararat Province of Armenia, 9 km southwest of Yerevan. Masis Youth Center is a unique facility set up to develop initiatives from young people in the town and to support existing and new projects. The Center aims to facilitate the all-round development of young people, to expand their horizons and bring out their talents and abilities, to encourage civic engagement and to create a culture of volunteering. At present, the Center runs the following special interest activities: 1.English club (for beginners and intermediate level students); 2.Literature club; 3.Seminar club (including IT, Psychology, Geography, Astronomy topics); 4.Interactive club (theatre, music, dance, games).
AYB EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION AND SCHOOL
AYB School is a new learning environment, where national ideas provide inspiration for the development of unique educational technologies and highest achievements of modern teaching are implemented to improve competitiveness of Armenian education. Ayb School serves as an ingenious laboratory, where the best teaching technologies, methods, experiences and educational models are born to spread through the whole country’s educational system, thus helping Armenian education grow globally competitive.
MANANA YOUTH EDUCATIONAL CENTER
Manana is a center for children that runs 4 programs: Photojournalism, Animation, Filmmaking, and Journalism in order to create literature, works of art, media, radio and television programs, films, and educational games for children. The center strives to encourage creative, unprejudiced thinking and to promote professional and civic responsibility among youth. The organization aims to develop active, free and creative, non-stereotypical way of thinking to youth journalism.
