The Specialized Children’s Home of Kharberd is a state institution established in 1950. Over 200 children with mental and physical disabilities are currently living in this home, enjoying arts and crafts, fun and games, and eager to make new friends. Typical Volunteer Tasks: Most volunteers spend quality time with the children, assisting them with daily activities such as eating and moving around, organizing sports activities, going for walks, and arranging entertainment activities. Volunteers with a background in psychology may also engage in art therapy, including activities such as clay modeling, music therapy, painting, and hippo-therapy. They can additionally provide training to staff members, exchanging valuable expertise.
