Ghoghanj NGO is based in Yerevan. The goal is to provide the proper support and guidance children need to excel in school, and become self-confident and respectful young adults. They have a mentoring program for more than 110 “At-Risk” students who come from hardworking single parent households or from socially dysfunctional families. Some of their children have social, behavioral or physical disabilities. The services include psychological and social development support, homework assistance, English classes, art programs, and computer classes for students.
FPWC implements environmental projects with the help of professionals in the fields of ecology, environmental law, film making as well tourism and regional development. Currently there are implementing a large-scale project in Urtsadzor village, Ararat region. The core of the project is the set-up of an Eco-Training Center on communal land of Urtsadzor. The village as well as the land belonging to the community is situated in the direct vicinity of the Khosrov Forest State Reserve.
COAF works to secure a future for children in Armenia‚ impoverished rural villages through improved education, health care, community life and economic conditions. Manana is a center for children that runs 4 programs: Photojournalism, Animation, Filmmaking, and Journalism in order to create literature, works of art, media, radio and television programs, films, and educational games for children. The center strives to encourage creative, unprejudiced thinking and to promote professional and civic responsibility among youth. The organization aims to develop active, free and creative, non-stereotypical way of thinking to youth journalism.
HAYP is a Pop Up gallery (created in 2014) that sets up temporary exhibitions in unexpected places throughout Yerevan, like vacant storefronts, for-rent buildings or abandoned factories. Ballet 2021 Development Foundation was founded in order to realize activities that ensure the development of the art of Armenian ballet on a variety of levels. Their mission is to support and promote the development of ballet in Armenia. The activities include collaboration with internationally-renowned choreogoraphers, teachers/repetiteurs and dancers; o-productions in Armenia and abroad; new innovative programming in order to raise public awareness of and interest in ballet.
The Akna cultural society is a non profit organization dedicated to the research, organization and international promotion of Armenian music. To carry out, and share the musical heritage through concerts, workshops, master classes, discussions, collaboration with festivals and other groups, preparation of short documentary films and websites, promotion through the media. The organization has several projects, among the most active one’s is the Gurdjieff Ensemble consisting of Armenian folk instruments.
