Volunteer Corps
Whether you’re looking for a professional internship or something less formal, you’ll find what you need in Armenia any time of year with AVC! From one month to one year.
AVC’s Volunteer Corps invites volunteers 21 years of age and older, of all backgrounds* from across the globe, to volunteer or intern in Armenia for a minimum stay of one month to a maximum of one year, to serve in a job placement of their own choosing. Placements are available year-round in a wide variety of sectors and organizations, including business, education, environmental sciences, arts and culture, finance, health, governmental and non-governmental agencies. In addition to placements, AVC provides all logistical support from airport pick-up, to host-family living arrangements, Armenian language classes, and more.
*NB: If you are age 21 to 32 and of Armenian heritage (at least 25% Armenian), please contact Birthright Armenia directly; they will advise you on how to proceed. However if you were born in Armenia, but left after age 12, you may be eligible to volunteer through AVC.
The AVC experience is unique in that volunteers and interns are able to decide on their starting date as well as the duration of their service, for terms ranging from one month to one year. AVC accepts applications and volunteers on a rolling basis throughout the year. AVC has over 600 active placement partners throughout Armenia, offering an almost limitless diversity of opportunities and locations. Following a successful application process, AVC matches volunteers’ skills and interests to companies, agencies, and institutions looking for help. Whether seeking a professional, career-oriented placement, or perhaps something less formal, AVC offers flexibility and options.
